Mounting

Our transceivers mount on building rooftops to provide a direct line of sight connection to your location. Since each mounting location presents unique requirements and constraints, we offer a wide variety of mounting options to ensure a successful, cost-effectivesolution at your location.

Fiber Optic Connection

The SupraConnect™ systems are designed so that they are easy to integrate with your existing telecommunication and data communication networks.  Each transceiver has a fiber optic data connector and a custom DC power connector. Your data and communications signal originates from a convenient location in your building and is routed to the transceiver with fiber optic cable. This eliminates network distance limitations as well as protects your network equipment from lightning and EMI surges. Your data and communication signal can be converted to a fiber optic signal using commercially available media converters.

Media Converters

A media converter makes one network media type "look" like another media type without changing the nature or data rate of your network data. The media converter is typically located in your computer network room, but it can be locate anywhere that is convenient. Media converters are available from many different vendors and provide conversion for almost any protocol and data rate including T1, E1, Ethernet, TokenRing, T3, E3, Fast Ethernet, FDDI, and ATM.

Depending on your network equipment, you may not need a media converter. Our transceivers are compatible with the fiber optic ports that are now being incorporated in some switches and routers. We will be happy to work with you to determine the best solution for your connectivity requirements and theequipment that you need to make it work.
